Nerdlacquer Entirely Unlike Tea

“After a fairly shaky start to the day, Arthur’s mind was beginning to reassemble itself from the shell-shocked fragments the previous day had left him with.
He had found a Nutri-Matic machine which had provided him with a plastic cup filled with a liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea.
The way it functioned was very interesting. When the Drink button was pressed it made an instant but highly detailed examination of the subject’s taste buds, a spectroscopic analysis of the subject’s metabolism and then sent tiny experimental signals down the neural pathways to the taste centers of the subject’s brain to see what was likely to go down well. However, no one knew quite why it did this because it invariably delivered a cupful of liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea.”

I have just bought three new Nerdlacquers, so I got inspired to show another one for you! Amanda, who makes these polishes has a tendency to disappear, which has made her polishes really difficult to get hold of, but now she seems to be back – at least for the time being. There is polish in the shop and she has even made six new polishes. (Three of which were released earlier tonight, which explains the shopping.) Unfortunately she still only ships to the US, but since Karin (my guest blogger, former colleague and fellow NPA) lives in Boston now, that is not a problem for me at the moment. Karin and I has managed to be a bad influence on each others nail polish shopping even across the Atlantic… 🙂

I bought this polish mostly because it is a bit weird and because it is a Nerd that I didn’t already own. (I own most of the ones that aren’t pink.) It is a strangely beigey nude with purple shimmer and silver glitter. I cannot really make up my mind about it. On one hand it is quite unappealing and ugly, on the other it is somewhat elegant anyways. I think I like it on the whole – if not because it is so strange and headstrong.

I wore three coats and the formula was good as always.

It has gotten its name and inspiration from this quote from ”The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” by Douglas Adams. (Which happens to be the very first book I read in English.):

“After a fairly shaky start to the day, Arthur’s mind was beginning to reassemble itself from the shell-shocked fragments the previous day had left him with.
