Jag visade er nyss det fina mörkröda krämlacket Berry Boudoir från CND, och även om det är ett fint lack så kunde jag inte riktigt låta det vara ifred. Jag har precis fått hem lite roliga lack från Hypnotic Polish, däribland ett magnetiskt överlack i guld från Dance Legend som jag applicerade över Berry Boudoir. Det verkade ju rätt fiffigt att kunna få coola magnetiska effekter över olika färger genom att använda ett magnetiskt överlack, men tyvärr blev jag lite besviken på effekten. Jag såg först efter att manikyren var klar att det följde med en magnet med lacket, så jag använde en jättestark kylskåpsmagnet. Trots detta så blev det inte mycket effekt. Det tog några naglar innan jag kom på att jag skulle ha tjockt med överlack och hålla magneten stilla nära lacket en stund för att det skulle synas något alls. Jag tror det beror på att lacket torkar väldigt fort, vilket förstås gör att de magnetiska partiklarna har svårt att flytta på sig. Det är ju ett snyggt guldlack oavsett, och jag fick en del komplimanger för det, men jag hade önskat att den magnetiska effekten var mer synlig.

In English: I just showed you the dark red creme Berry Boudoir from CND, and even if it is a nice polish, I couldn’t leave it alone. I recently got a package of polishes from Hypnotic Polish, and among them was this magnetic top coat from Dance Legend that I applied over Berry Boudoir. It seemed like a neat idea to be able to get cool magnetic effects over different colours with a magnetic top coat, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the effect. I didn’t see until the manicure was finished that I had gotten a magnet with the polish, so I used a very strong kitchen magnet. Despite that, I didn’t get much of an effect at all. It took a few nails before I figured out that it worked better if I had a very thick layer of the polish and kept the magnet still for a while just by the nail surface to get any kind of effect at all. I think the problem is that the polish dries very quickly, so the magnetic particles can’t really move through it. It is a pretty gold polish anyways, and I got some compliments for it, but I wished that the magnetic effect would have been stronger.
