Nerdlacquer Aureate

In English: I am really starting to look forward to the Christmas vacation now. Work is crazy since I have a lot of things to finish before Christmas and am behind because I was in Edinburgh last week and have moved to a new office, which took time I didn’t have. (But this one’s bigger, so it is a bit luxurious anyways.) I worked until 10.15 yesterday and 10.30 today, so I haven’t had much energy for the blog. But I’ll give you a short post now before I fall into bed.
Nerdlacquer Aureate is a nice, sparkly gold glitter. I like it, but it isn’t super unique. It was easy to apply and covered in two coats. I stamped with a black stamping polish from Depend and the ÜberChic Beauty Lovely Leaves plate.
Are you having a stressful time, too, or have you gotten away from the pre-Christmas hysteria? And how long will you be on vacation around Christmas? I will take a little more than two weeks off, and it will be so great!

  1. Vilket fint guldlack, och jättefin nagelkonst också! =)

  3. Did you enjoy Edinburgh? Did you visit the big Christmas Market – it is amazing! Will you be working there? It had been very cold in Scotland lately 😦 I am from the other side, Glasgow but love shopping in Edinburgh.

    • Yes, I really did! It was my fourth visit, and it is one of my favourite towns. The big Christmas Market was indeed amazing! I was there twice. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time at all, just two days, the rest of the trip was work, but I went to see Mary King’s Close and took a tour at the Scotch Whisky Experience (and bought a few bottles of whisky :-)).
I was only there to visit some people at the University to trade experiences, so I will not move there. I do hope to go back again soon, but hopefully when it is a bit warmer!
A few years ago, I went to a conference in Glasgow, and I really liked the town! Actually, I would very much like to see more of Scotland in general! From what I’ve seen, it is a lovely country!. I have a friend who lives in Aberdeen, so I’ve been there too.

      • Wow. Yes you need to visit more of Scotland for sure. Aberdeen is lovely but cold I find. And glad you liked Glasgow 😀 There is so much to do here, even if the weather is bad!

I do like a good Whisky, which ones did you buy?

Yes that Market was brilliant and it was my first time at it! We will be going back again next year. That is the problem with Edinburgh, it certainly is a bit colder than Glasgow BUT on the upside not nearly as wet! As it ALWAYS rains on this side of Scotland. 😀

        • It actually felt colder in Edinburgh than it does here in Sweden, even though it has been colder in degrees here. The air is so much dryer. We didn’t even manage the whole way down the Royal Mile because of the cold. (We found a pub instead. :-)).

We bought a bottle of Bunnahabhain, a bottle of Glen Scotia Double Cask (interesting to try one from Cambeltown – it was the first time for us) and a very expensive bottle of Octomore from Bruichladdich, that will be my Christmas present. It is extremely super peaty, and just delicious! I tried it at the Scotch Whisky Experience and fell in love… 🙂
