Christmas manicure with polishes from Depend Holiday Cheer
I förra veckan fick jag hem en massa pressprover från Depend (tidig julklapp, tack för den!), däribland julkollektionen Holiday Cheer. Jag ska fota och lägga upp bilder på den senare, men här kommer i alla fall en manikyr med två av lacken. Det kallguldiga glittret är Shine for You och det röda skimret är Most Wonderful Time. Båda täckte på två lager och var utmärkta att lacka med. Most Wonderful Time har mer skimmer i sig och ett finare djup än vad som syns på mina bilder, men det är svårt att få bra bilder så här års.
Jag har stämplat med Hit the Bottle Colliding of the Realms och använt plattan Festive 18 från MoYou London. Det blev en rätt enkel manikyr, men jag gillar den.
In English: Last week, I got a box of press samples from Depend (early Christmas present, thanks a lot!) and it it was the Christmas collection Holiday Cheer. I will take photos and post it later, but here is a mani with two of the polishes. The cold gold glitter is Shine for You and the red shimmer is Most Wonderful Time. Both were opaque in two coats and excellent to apply. Most Wonderful Time has more shimmer and a nicer depth than shows in my pictures, but it is hard to get good pictures at this time of the year.
I stamped with Hit the Bottle Colliding of the Realms and used the plate Festive 18 from MoYou London. A quite simple manicure, but I liked it.
Glam Polish She’s Got the Power
She’s Got the Power från Glam Polish är ett gräsgrönt holo med en hint av blåaktigt skimmer. Det var svårt att fota (delvis p g a brist på sol), men det har hyggligt tydliga regnbågar. Jag skulle nog inte kalla det ett linjärt holo, men IRL så är det ingen tvekan om att holot finns där. Jag bar två lager och det var trevligt att lacka med.
In English: She’s Got the Power from Glam Polish is a grass green holo with a hint of a blueish shimmer. It was difficult to catch the holo with my camera (partly due to lack of sun), but the rainbows are fairly visible. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a linear holo, but there is no doubt IRL of that the holo is there. I wore two coats and it applied well.
Tropical gradient nails
Som så många andra har jag haft lite dåligt med energi det senaste halvåret, och det har tyvärr gått ut över bloggen. Jag har inte lagt av, däremot. Det kanske bara blir lite längre mellan posterna nu.
När novembermörkret ligger tungt kan man behöva se tillbaka till ljusare tider, så jag tänkte posta den här färgglada manikyren från i somras. Basen är två lager av det gula krämlacket Depend 7 day Pump It Up (från Paradisekollektionen 2020, men gavs också ut med Beat It 2019). Jag gjorde sedan en gradient med Pump It Up, orangea Depend 7 day Search från Onlinekollektionen 2020 och röda Depend O2 621 från Game On-kollektionen 2020. Alla tre är pressprover. Dekalerna är från So Nailicious. Mycket fina, men lite stela. Inte så det är något stort problem, men jag hade önskat att de var lite mjukare.
På det stora hela gillade jag den här manikyren. Den är knappast unik, men färgglad och uppiggande.
In English: Like so many others, I have not had much energy lately, and the blog has suffered from it. I haven’t given up, but I will probably go longer between the posts for a while.
Now that the November darkness is really settling in, I like to remember brighter times. This summery manicure is really not autumn appropriate, but I like to see some colour now. The base is two coats of the yellow creme Depend 7 day Pump It Up (from the Paradise collection 2020, but it was also released with the Beat It collection in 2019). I then did a gradient with Pump It Up, the orange Depend 7 day Search (from the Online collection 2020) and red Depend O2 621 (from the Game On collection 2020). All three are press samples.
The decals are from So Nailicious. Very pretty, but a little stiff. Not so it’s a major problem, but I would have liked them to be a bit softer. On the whole, I liked this manicure. It is hardly unique, but colourful and cheerful.
Halloween mani with Depend 7 day 7227 Do’s and Don’ts
Det har faktiskt bara blivit en halloweenmanikyr i år, men här är den i alla fall! Ganska klassisk med spindelnät i silver på mörkgrå bakgrund. Basen är Do’s and Dont’s, som jag har fått som pressprov från Depends Cosy Glam-kollektion. Det är mörkt blågrått och jag tycker det är väldigt fint. Det var lätt att applicera och täckte på två lager.
Jag stämplade med silverlack från Born Pretty Store och plattan Lina Spookilicious 01. Jag gillade den här manikyren! Det känns som en ganska ”vuxen” halloweenmanikyr.
In English: I have only done one Halloween manicure this year, but here it is! Pretty classic – spider webs in silver on a dark grey background. The base is Do’s and Don’t, that was sent to me as a press sample from the Depend Cosy Glam collection. It is a dark blueish grey creme and I think it’s very pretty. It was easy to apply and was opaque in two coats.
I stamped with a silver stamping polish from Born Pretty Store and the Lina Spookilicious 01 plate. I liked this manicure! It feels like a pretty grown-up kind of Halloween manicure.
Depend O2 Modern Legacy collection (autumn 2020)
Ännu en fin höstkollektion från Depend! Den här är ganska dämpad i tonerna och väldigt typiskt höstig, med undantag för det knallgröna 630, som verkligen sticker ut. Jag gillar den här kollektionen! Visst hade det varit kul om det hade funnits någon annan finish än krämlack, men färgerna är mysiga och jag börjar bli sugen på höstlack nu. Hur är det för er – är ni redo att gå över till höstlack? Jag tycker i o f s att man kan ha alla färger året runt, men jag blir ändå oftast lite mer sugen på murriga färger en period i början av hösten.
Lacken kostar 35 kr/styck och finns redan i butik (jag är inte världens snabbaste bloggare…). Jag har fått dem som pressprover.
In English: Another pretty autumn collection from Depend! This one has mostly muted colours and is very autumn-y, with the exception of the bright green 630, that really sticks out. I like this collection! Sure, it would have been nice with a few other finishes than cremes, but the colours are nice and I am starting to feel like autumn polishes now. How is it for you? Are you ready for autumn colours? I do think that you can use any colour you like any time of the year, but I usually feel like more muted colours for a while during the autumn anyways.

Fire manicure with Depend 7 day Play
Jag har som sagt halkat efter väldigt mycket med postandet, så den här manikyren är från i höstas, men jag blev riktigt nöjd med den, så det är synd att låta den ligga till sig längre. Basen är ett blått skimmerlack, Play, från Depends Onlinekollektion från sommaren 2020. Jag har fått det som pressprov. Jag bar två lager och applikationen var utmärkt.
Jag stämplade en gradient med ett guldstämplingslack från Born Pretty Store samt Copper Haired Girl och Poison Apple från Hit the Bottle. Alla stämplade mycket bra. Plattan är Exoticism BPX-L012 från Born Pretty Store.
In English: I am very behind with my posts, so this manicure is from last autumn, but I liked it a lot and it is a shame to leave it longer. The base is a blue shimmer, Play, from the Depend Online collection from the summer of 2020. It was sent to me as a press sample. I wore two coats and the application was excellent.

Autumn manicure with Depend O2 634
Hösten är här, och för en gångs skull tycker jag att det är lite mysigt. Det har ju varit riktigt skönt väder hittills och grårusket är fortfarande ganska avlägset. Jag blev i alla fall sugen på att göra en höstig manikyr och använde Depend O2 634, ett pressprov från Modern Legacy-kollektionen, som bas. Det är ett jättefint tegelrött krämlack som täckte på två lager och var utmärkt att lacka med.
Jag stämplade med guldstämplingslack från Born Pretty Store, Cuticula Licorice och Hit the Bottle Copper Haired Girl. Plattan är Lina Autumn 03.
In English: Autumn is here, so I did an autumn inspired manicure a while back. As a base, I used Depend O2 634, a press sample from the Modern Legacy collection. It is a very nice brick red creme that covered in two coats and was excellent to apply.

Nerdlacquer Liberté
Det är lite trist att visa lack som inte går att få tag på längre, men jag använder bloggen lite som ett arkiv över mina lack, så jag slänger ut det här ändå. Nerdlacquer har ju tyvärr lagt ner, men hon gjorde ett gäng jättefina lack en gång i tiden. Liberté är inte lika speciellt, men det är riktigt fint. Basen är bronsfärgad och det är fullt med små guldglitter som gnistrar väldigt fint. Jag tror det kan vara lite små svarta glitter i det också. Jag tror jag hade tre lager och att det var lätt att måla med.
In English: It isn’t too much fun to show a polish that isn’t available any more, but since I also use the blog as an archive of my polishes, I will throw this out there anyways. Nerdlacquer has closed the shop, unfortunately, but she made really special polished before. Liberté is not one of the really special polishes, but it it very nice. The base is bronze and it has plenty of small gold glitters. I think it might also have a few small black glitters in there. I think I wore three coats and that it was easy to apply.
Depend Rethink collection (autumn 2020)
När dagarna blir kortare och terminsstartsstressen är värre än någonsin (tack för den, corona!) så är det i alla fall trevligt att det dimper ner pressprover med höstkollektioner i brevlådan. Eftersom jag gillar murriga höstfärger så är höstkollektionerna ofta mina favoriter.
Depends Rethink är en ganska klassisk höstkollektion, skulle jag säga, men med en del lite oväntade inslag, som det knallgröna 645. Men jag klagar inte – det lacket kan nog vara det jag tycker mest om. Som vanligt hade jag önskat en större variation i finisharna. Det finns ett matt lack, men resten är krämlack, och jag ser inte riktigt vitsen med matta lack. Jag vill ändå använda ett snabbtorkande överlack (för vem orkar vänta på att lacket torkar?) och om jag vill ha det matt lägger jag bara på ett matt överlack på slutet. Men det är jag, det.
Jag ska förresten tillägga att det ingår ett 641 i kollektionen också, men det kom inte med i pressutskicket. På pressbilden ser det ut att vara ett mörkt rödlila krämlack.
Lacken har släppts den här veckan och kostar som vanligt 29 kr/styck.
In English: When the days are getting shorter and the start-of-semester is worse than ever (thanks for that, corona!), at least there is some joy in getting press samples of autumn collections in my mailbox. Since muted autumn colours are just my cup of tea, the autumn collections are often my favourites.
I’d say that Depend Rethink is a pretty classic autumn collection, but it has a few unexpected colours, primarily the bright green 645. But it is probably the polish I like the best in the collection, so I am not complaining. As usual, I would have liked a little more variation when it comes to the finishes, though. There is one matt and the rest are cremes, and I don’t really see the point of matte polishes. I always use a quick-dry top coat anyways (because who has the patience to wait for the polish to dry?) and if I want it matte, I’ll just add a matte top coat after that. But maybe that’s just me.
I should add that there is a number 641 in the collection, but I didn’t get it. On the press picture, it looks like it might be a dark reddish purple creme.
The collection was released this week and the polishes cost 29 SEK/each, as usual.

Skull nails on Depend 7 day Comment
Jag har varit med i några samarbeten på Instagram på sistone, och ett av de senaste hade dödskalletema för att fira Heidis (@skull_lover_nails) födelsedag. Till min dödskallemanikyr använde jag Depend Comment (pressprov från Onlinekollektionen) som bas och stämplade med Hit the Bottle My Suitor Wears Pewter och plattan Lina Spookilicious 01. Avslutningsvis så gjorde jag det matt med ett matt överlack från Depend (också ett pressprov). Det var en ganska enkel manikyr, men jag har inte så mycket energi numera eftersom det fortfarande är hysteriskt mycket på jobbet (den där pandemin har inte gjort tillvaron som universitetslärare enklare), så jag är glad över att jag fick till något alls!
Tre lager av Comment täckte bra och det var trevligt att lacka med. Jag tycker det är riktigt fint – ett härligt klarlila krämlack.
In English: I have joined a few Instagram collaborations lately, and one of the most recent ones was skull themed, to celebrate the birthday of Heidi (@skull_lover_nails). For my skull manicure I used Depend Comment (press sample from the Online collection) as a base and stamped with Hit the Bottle My Suitor Wears Pewter and the Lina Spookilicious 01 plate. I finished by mattifying it with a matte top coat from Depend (also a press sample). It was a pretty simple manicure, but I don’t have that much energy right now since my work load still is crazy (the pandemic has not made life easier for us university teachers), so I am happy that I did anything at all!
Three coats of Comment was enough for opacity and it applied nicely. I think it is really pretty – a lovely bright purple creme.
