Depend Boardwalk Blues
Det andra lacket jag testade från Depends Life of Venice-kollektion var Boardwalk Blues, som namnet till trots är intensivt lila. Det är en riktigt härlig färg som jag trivdes riktigt bra i!
Två lager täckte bra och det var utmärkt att måla med. Dekoren är neonfärgade nitar som jag har haft så länge att jag glömt bort var jag har köpt dem.
Boardwalk Blues skickades till mig som pressprov.
In English: The second polish that I wore from the Depend Life of Venice collection was Boardwalk Blues, which, despite the name, is a very bright purple creme. It is a very cheerful colour that I liked wearing!
The application was excellent and it was opaque in two coats. I decorated it with neon studs that I have had for such a long time that I have forgotten where I bought them from.

Nail art with Depend Next to Santa Monica
Det här är faktiskt lite otroligt, men jag har faktiskt hittat ett rosa lack som jag gillar! Nu är det väldigt rödrosa och kanske nästan mer korall än rosa, men ändå! Det är härligt färgstarkt och uppiggande.
Next to Santa Monica är från Depends sommarkollektion Life of Venice, och jag har fått det som pressprov.Två lager täckte bra och det var lätt att måla med.
Ett så färgglatt lack bjöd in till en färgglad manikyr, och eftersom lacken i Life of Venice-kollektionen är så fina tillsammans så tog jag fem av dem och gjorde ränder med genom att måla lack på min silikonmatta, låta det torka och sedan klippa det i så smala remsor jag kunde när det var torrt men fortfarande lite mjukt. Lacken jag använde var limegröna Palm Tree Shake, blåa Blue Paradise, turkosa Gone To the Beach, lila Boardwalk Blues och gula Hello Sunshine. Remsorna fäste jag i ett lager genomskinligt lack. Den här manikyren gillade jag skarpt och den kändes passande nu när det faktiskt äntligen har blivit vår!
In English: This is amazing, but I have finally found a pink polish that I like! Sure, it is a very reddish pink, and maybe more coral than pink, but still! It is so cheerful and bright that it won me over, despite its pink-ness.
Next to Santa Monica is from the Depend summer collection Life of Venice and it was sent to me as a press sample. It was opaque in two coats and easy to apply.
Such a bright polish demanded a bright nail art, and since the polishes from the Life of Venice-collection go so well together, I made stripes of five of them by painting on my silicone mat and cutting the polish into thin strips when it was dry, but still soft. I used the lime green Palm Tree Shake, the blue Blue Paradise, the turquoise Gone To the Beach, the purple Boardwalk Blues and the yellow Hello Sunshine. I fastened the strips in clear polish and finished with top coat. I really liked this manicure and it felt very fitting now that spring is finally here!
Depend Life of Venice collection (summer 2018)
Häromdagen damp Depends sommarkollektion Life of Venice till min stora glädje ner i min brevlåda. Den är väldigt färgglad och passar verkligen perfekt till sommaren! Kollektionen ges ut i begränsad upplaga (och jag misstänker att de kan gå åt rätt fort) och består av åtta krämlack i 7 days-serien. Jag har sett att en del har skrivit att de är neoner, men de torkar inte matt, så de är inte ”äkta” neoner om man ska vara petig.
De kommer i butik i nästa vecka och kommer att kosta 39 kr styck. Jag har fått dem som pressprov.

In English: To my great joy, the Depend summer collection Life of Venice landed in my mail box the other day. It is very colourful and perfect for summer! The collection is released as a limited edition (and I suspect that they will sell out pretty fast) and consists of eight cremes in the 7 day series. Some have called them neon, but they don’t dry matte, so they are not ”real” neon, to be exact.
They will be released during next week and will cost 39 SEK each. They were sent to me as press samples.

Depend O2 536 with stamped roses
Alla Hjärtans Dag börjar närma sig, och med det alla söta och romantiska manikyrer. Det är ju inte riktigt min grej, så jag blev glad när jag såg att @clairestelle8 på Instagram har en alternativ Alla Hjärtans Dagutmaning där man ska kombinera klassiskt romantiska motiv med murriga eller udda färger. Jag har valt att göra rostemat med orange bakgrund. Bakgrunden är det knalligt orangea Depend O2 536 från Dark Beauty-kollektionen, en kollektion som lite har försvunnit i mängden, men som ändå innehåller en del fina lack. 536 täckte på två lager och var bra att applicera. Jag har fått det som pressprov. Rosorna är från första plattan av tre i ÜberChic Beautys femte samling och jag använde ett svart stämplingslack från Depend.
In English: Valentine’s Day is closing in, and with it all the cute and romantic manicures. Cute and romantic isn’t really my thing, so I was happy to see that @clairestelle8 on Instagram hosts a Twisted Valentine Challenge where you combine traditional romatic motifs with dark or unusual colours. I chose to do the rose theme on an orange background. I used the bright orange Depend O2 536 from the Dark Beauty collection, a collection that I have sort of forgotten about, but that contains a lot of nice polishes. 536 was opaque in two coats and the application was good. It was sent to me as a press sample.
The roses are from the first plate in the fifth plate collection from ÜberChic Beauty and I stamped with a black stamping polish from Depend.
Depend Retro Glam (spring 2018)
Den andra vårkollektionen från Depend som släppts den här veckan är Retro Glam, och den innehåller 12 lack i O2-serien. Den här kollektionen är lite pastelligare, mer rosa och mindre glittrig än Studio 54, så jag är inte riktigt lika entusiastisk över den. Några fina lack finns ändå, och mina favoriter är det gula skimmerlacket (nr 544), det mellanblåa krämlacket (nr 546) och det blåturkosa skimmerlacket (nr 547). Vilka blir du mest sugen på?
In English: The second spring collection from Depend that has been released this week is Retro Glam, which contains 12 polishes from the O2 series. This collection is a bit more pink, pastel-y and less glittery than Studio 54, so I am not quite as enthusiastic about it. There are some nice polishes, however, and my favourites are the yellow shimmer (no 544), the medium blue creme (no 546) and the bluish turquoise shimmer (no 547). Which ones do you like the most?

Depend Studio 54 collection (spring 2018)
I fredags fick jag uppleva årets första vårtecken! Nej, det var inte några fåglar eller så, utan ett pressutskick med två vårkollektioner från Depend. 🙂 Det är alltid trevligt när vårkollektionerna börjar droppa in och ge hopp om våren – och nu har ju faktiskt solen återvänt också!
Den första kollektionen jag tänkte visa är den jag gillade mest av de två. Studio 54 är inspirerade av 70-talet och innehåller en trevlig blandning av starka färger, glitter och några lite mer diskreta lack. Riktigt fin kollektion, särskilt för att vare en vårkollektion (de är ofta lite för rosa och gulliga för att riktigt falla mig i smaken).
Den här kollektionen släpps den här veckan och lacken kostar modesta 25 kr/styck.
Så vad tycker ni? Några lack ni blir sugna på?
In English: This Friday brought this year’s first sign of spring! No, I don’t mean that I saw any birds or something like that, but I got a package with press samples of two spring collections from Depend. 🙂 I always like when the spring collections start coming, bringing the hope of spring – and now the sun has finally returned to Sweden!
I will start with showing my favourite of the two collections. Studio 54 is inspired by the seventies and contains a nice mix of strong colours, glitter and some more discreet polishes. It’s a really nice collection, especially for a spring collection (they are often a bit too pink and cute for my taste).
This collection is being released this week and the polishes cost 25 SEK each.

New Year’s Eve mani with CND Stylish Sapphire
Jag hann visst inte posta min nyårsmanikyr här… Den kom bara ut på Instagram, men bättre sent än aldrig! Basen är CND Stylish Sapphire, ett vackert midnattsblått skimmerlack med väldigt fint djup och lyster. Det ser nästan ut som färgat glas, så fin är lystern! Jag har fått det som ett pressprov och det släpps med vinterns Wonderball-kollektion. Två lager räckte för att det skulle täcka och det var lätt att applicera.
Jag stämplade sedan med tre lack från Depends Across the Universe-kollektion (den gröna, nr 5061, den mörkblå, nr 5060 och den ljust silverblå, nr 5059) och Holiday Snowfall-plattan från What’s Up Nails. Lacken stämplade ganska bra och jag gillade effekten jag fick av att använda de olika färgerna av lack med likadan finish. Tyvärr var jag för snabb med det andra lagret överlack, så det bubblade sig och förstörde alltihopa… Väldigt tråkigt, för annars tycker jag att det blev en fin manikyr.
In English: I hadn’t time to post my New Year’s Eve mani here, only on Instagram, but better late than never! The base is CNS Stylish Sapphire, a beautiful midnight blue shimmer with gorgeous depth and luster. It almost looks like coloured glass. I have gotten it as a press sample and it was released with this winter’s Wonderball collection. Two coats was enough and application was good.
I stamped on it with three polishes from the Depend Across the Universe collection (the green, no 5061, the dark blue, no 5060 and the silvery blue no 5059) and the Holiday Snowfall plate from What’s Up Nails. The polishes stamped quite well and I liked the effect of using the three polishes in different colours but with the same finish. Unfortunarely, I was too quick with the second layer of top coat, which made it bubble and ruined the whole thing. A bit sad. I liked the mani before that.
OPI Coalmates with Christmas tree stamping
Än går det att klämma ut lite julstämning ur det här året, så jag visar min mellandagsmanikyr, som går på jul/vintertema. Basen är OPI Coalmates, som jag har fått som pressprov från vinterkollektionen Love, OPI. Det är ett lack som har fått mycket uppmärksamhet, och det är fint, men jag är faktiskt inte exalterad. Det är mörkblått med en silvrig bas och multifärgat skimmer. Trevligt lack, men inte galet speciellt. Jag bar två lager och det var lätt att applicera.
För att haka på (om än flera dagar sent) julgranstemat på Lacky Corners Winter Nail Art Challenge-utmaning så stämplade jag julgranar med ett vitt stämplingslack från Depend och stämplingsplattan A014 Holiday Snowfall från What’s Up Nails. Både lacket och plattan funkade bra att stämpla med. Jag testade också omvänd stämpling och fyllde i julgranskulorna på långfingrarna med Wrap Up Warm från Depends Just Like Magic-kollektion. Det hade nog varit bättre med ett skimmerlack istället för ett glitterlack, dock, eftersom det blev lite knöligt med glitterkornen. Men tja, juligt blev det, även om jag nu faktiskt börjar känna för att göra lite helt vanliga manikyrer. Det blir en nyårsmanikyr till imorgon först, bara!
In English: There is still time to squeeze some Christmas spirit out of this year, so this is my Christmas/winter themed post-Christmas manicure. The base is OPI Coalmates, a press sample from the Love, OPI winter collection. This polish has gotten quite a lot of attention, and it is nice, but I am not extatic. It is a dark blue with a silvery base and multicoloured shimmer. Pretty, but not crazy special. I wore two coats and it was easy to apply.
In order to join (a few days late, but still) the Christmas tree theme for Lacky Corner’s Winter Nail Art Challenge, I stamped trees with a white stamping polish from Depend and the A014 Holiday Snowfall plate from What’s Up Nails. Both the polish and the plate were easy to work with. I also tried some reverse stamping and filled in the baubles on the big trees with Wrap Up Warm from the Depend Just Like Magic collection. It would probably have been better with a shimmer instead of a glitter, though, since the glitter made the stamping a bit lumpy. But well, it is Christmassy, at least, even if I am starting to long for regular manis by now. I’ll just do a New Year’s Eve mani for tomorrow, but then I’ll go back to normal!
Winter Nail Art Challenge: Depend Under the Mistletoe with Santa stickers
De senaste veckorna har varit ganska så hysteriska på jobbet, med flera arbetsdagar på runt 12 timmar, så jag har inte riktigt orkat vara med på Winter Nail Art Challenge. Temat som egentligen var till den 19:e var ”Winter Characters” och jag gjorde en manikyr på temat, men orkade inte blogga om den. Så, bättre sent än aldrig! Här kommer då min tomtemanikyr, bara tre dagar för sent!
Basen är Depend 7 Day 70001 Under the Mistletoe från förra årets julkollektion Season Sparkle. Jag fick den i pressprov, men har faktiskt inte kommit fram till att använda den förrän nu, trots att den är så fin. (Lyxproblemet när man har för många fina lack att använda.) Det är ett smaragdgrönt folielack med guldtoner i det. Riktigt vackert, och det kan få kompensera för bristen på gröna lack i årets julkollektioner. Två lager och utmärkt applikation, som vanligt!
Dekoren är mycket enkel (det blir så när man är så trött att man ser i kors) – klistermärken från Nailtopia, köpta från Nailshop.

The last weeks have been quite hysterical at work, with several 12 hour days, so I haven’t really had the energy to join the Winter Nail Art Challenge. The theme for the 19th was ”Winter Characters”, and I did a manicure for the theme but I was too tired to post it until now. So, better late than never!
The base is Depend 7 day 70001 Under the Mistletoe from last year’s Christmas collection Season Sparkle. It was sent to me as a press sample, but I haven’t used it until now, despite it being very pretty. (The luxury problem of having too many beautiful polishes.) It is an emerald green foil with gold toned. Really beautiful, and it can compensate a bit for the lack of green polishes in this year’s Christmas collections. Two coats and excellent application, as usual!
The nail art is very simple (that happens when you’re cross-eyed with exhaustion) – stickers from Nailtopia, bought from Nailshop.

Blue Monday: Depend O2 North of Andromeda
Under min Edinburghresa i förrförra veckan lyckades jag faktiskt bära samma lack under hela resan, d v s i hela fem dagar! Jag var ganska imponerad av hållbarheten, faktiskt, och det var skönt eftersom jag inte hade mycket tid till sånt som att måla naglarna. Det fantastiska lacket i fråga är North of Andromeda, från Depends Across the Universe-kollektion. Det är från O2-serien och har nummer 5058. Jag har fått det som pressprov. Det är en mycket snygg blått metalliclack med ett stänkt grönt i. Två lager täckte och applikationen var bra. Som dekoration petade jag på lite snöflingedekaler som jag har köpt från Nailshop.se.

In English: I actually managed to wear the same polish during my whole trip to Edinburgh in the week before last, that means five whole days! I was pretty impressed by that, really, and it was good since I didn’t have much time for my nails. The impressive polish is North of Andromeda, from the Depend Across the Universe collection. It is from the O2 series and has the number 5058. It was sent to me as a press sample. It is a very pretty blue metallic with a dash of green. Two coats covered without a problem and the application was a dream. I decorated it with some snow flake stickers that I have bought from Nailshop.se.
