Happy New Year!
Årets nyårsmanikyr blev en glittrig variant med lack från förra och förrförra årets pressutskick. Basen är mörkblåa crellylacket med nummer 529 från Depends Dark Beautykollektion (hösten 2017) och jag blingade till det med glittret Stellarbration från CNDs Creative Play-serie, som ingick i 2016 års julkollektion Celebration. Stellarbration är ett väldigt fint glitterlack med silverglitter och silverstjärnor i en klar bas med guldskimmer i. Just blandningen av guld och silver är lite ovanligt, och jag gillar det.
Depend 529 är också riktigt fint. Det har ett härligt djup och glans och var väldigt bra att lacka med. Det täckte nästan på ett lager (jag hade två) och var lätt att kontrollera.
Jag gjorde också en accentnagel med stämpling från What’s Up Nails platta A014. Jag dubbelstämplade och började med Depends silvriga stämpellack (som är ett pressutskick) på bara glasen för att få dem att synas mer och stämplade sedan över med ett silverholostämplingslack (nummer 01) från Born Pretty Store. Det är ju fint med holostämplingen, men tyvärr är holostämplingslacket rätt skirt, så det syns dåligt om jag stämplar med det ensamt. Stjärnorna och fyrverkerierna fick bli med bara holostämplingen, däremot.
Jag testade också för första gången min nya stämpel från ÜberChic Beauty, som var fantastiskt bra! Det var så lätt att plocka upp motivet och jag såg väldigt bra genom stämpeln, vilket gjorde det lätt att placera holostämplingen precis ovanpå den silvriga stämplingen.
Jag är riktigt nöjd med den här manikyren, och nu när jag har en så bra stämpel så är jag sugen på testa fler dubbelstämplingar! Manikyren matchade också min nya klänning, som jag ska ha ikväll, väldigt bra!

In English: This year’s New Years manicure is very glittery and was made with old untried press samples. The base is a dark blue crelly, number 529 from the Depend Dark Beauty collection (autumn 2017) and I added the glitter polish Stellarbration from the CND Creative Play 2016 winter collection Celebration. Stellarbration is a very nice topper with silver glitter and silver stars in a clear base with gold shimmer. The mixture of gold and silver is quite unusual, and I like it!
I also liked Depend 529. It has a lovely depth and shine and was very easy to apply. It was almost opaque in one coat (I wore two).
I did an accent nail with stamping from the What’s Up Nails plate A014. I double stamped and started with a silver stamping polish from Depend (a press sample) on just the glasses to make them more visible and then stamped over with a silver holo stamping polish from Born Pretty Store (number 01). The holo stamping polish is pretty, but unfortunately very sheer, so it is not that visible on its own. The stars and fireworks are just the holo stamping polish, though.
I also tried my new stamper from ÜberChic Beauty for the first time, and it was great! It was so easy to pick up the stamping and to see through the stamper, which made placement a breeze.
I am really happy with this manicure and now that I have such a nice stamper, I really want to do more double stamping. The manicure also matched my new dress that I am wearing tonight, very well!

Masura Blooming Lotus
Jag tar väl och kör ett magnetiskt lack till! Masura Blooming Lotus har turkos underton, grön magnetisk effekt, prismatiskt holo och flakies. Allt i ett! Det är riktigt, riktigt snyggt och det händer mycket i det här lacket!
Det täckte på två lager och var lätt att måla med.
Jag stämplade med ett guldstämplingslack från Born Pretty Store och plattan Twirls & Swirls 2 från Lina. Plattan har massor av fina snirkelmönster och jag kommer nog använda den mycket. Stämplingslacket är väldigt trevligt att jobba med.
In English: How about another magnetic polish? Masura Blooming Lotus has a turquoise base, green magnetic effect, prismatic holo and flakies. All in one! It is really, really beautiful and there is a lot going on in this polish!
It was opaque in two coats and easy to apply.
I stamped with a gold stamping polish from Born Pretty Store and the plate Twirls & Swirls 2 from Lina. The plate has lots of lovely swirls and I probably will be using it a lot. The stamping polish is very nice and easy to work with.
Depend O2 565 and 566 from the Like an Artist collection
Jag har visst några manikyrer från Depends Like an Artist-kollektion som jag inte har postat än. Det är en väldigt trevlig kollektion, och lacken i den går väldigt bra att kombinera, så jag använde flera av dem snart efter att jag fick dem, men har inte kommit fram till att visa upp dem.
I den här manikyren använde jag den beiga med nummer 565 och den vampigt röda med nummer 566. 565 behövde tre lager för att täcka, men hade bra formula. 566 var mer täckande, så det räckte med två lager, men den var en aning rinnig.
Jag stämplade sedan med 566 över 565. 566 var lite för tunt för att vara riktigt bra att stämpla med, men det funkade ok, och jag tyckte det blev rätt sött. Stämplingsplattan är också från Depend, och jag har fått både den och lacken som pressprover.
In English: It seems that I have a few manicures with polishes from the Depend Like an Artist collection that I still haven’t posted. I really like the collection, and since the polishes in it goes very nicely together, I used most of them quite soon after I got it – and then I didn’t get around to show you the manicures…
For this manicure, I uses the beige with number 565 and the vampy red with number 566. 565 needed three coats, but had excellent application. 565 was more opaque, so two coats was enough, but it was a little runny.
I then stamped with 566 over 565. 566 was a little too thin to be a really good stamping polish, but it worked ok, and I think the manicure was quite pretty. The stamping plate is also from Depend, and both it and the polishes were sent to me as press samples.
Fern stamping on CND Ballroom Baubles
Det här mönstret var ett av de som gjorde att jag bestämde mig för att köpa den här stämplingsplattan (Lesly #31). Jag gillar ormbunkar, och gillar att mönstret finns i två versioner, så man kan få ett positiv och ett negativ av samma motiv med samma färgkombination.
Tyvärr blev jag inte jättenöjd med den här manikyren, men det hade mer med lacken än motivet att göra. Baslacket är CND Ballroom Baubles från 2017 års julkollektion Wonderball, som jag har fått som pressprov. Det är ett gultonat guldlack med smått guldglitter. Tre lager räckte och det var bra att applicera, men jag föredrar egentligen guldlack som är lite varmare i tonen. Den här färgen är inte så snäll mot min hudton.
Jag stämplade med ett grönt stämplingslack från Born Pretty Store. Tyvärr har jag inte helt fått kläm på det där med stämplandet än, så det blev inte 100%. Lacket var lätt att stämpla med i alla fall, det är bara jag som inte är så bra på att få motivet dit jag vill. 🙂
Det här hade nog varit snyggare med lite mer dämpade, naturnära färger. Jag tycker det blev lite för skarp kontrast mellan det gula och det gröna – lite som en hobisk bordsduk…
In English: This pattern is one of the main reasons that I bought this stamping plate (Lesly #31). I like ferns, and I also liked that you get two versions of this pattern, so you can get a positive and a negative of the same motif with the same colour combination.
Sadly, I wasn’t too happy with this manicure, but that had more to do with the polishes than the motif. The base is CND Ballroom Baubled from the 2017 Christmas collection Wonderball, that was sent to me as a press sample. It is a yellow toned gold with small gold glitter. It was opaque in three coats and the application was good, but I really prefer more warm-toned golds. This colour wasn’t too good for my skin tone.
I stamped it with a green stamping polish from Born Pretty Store. Unfortunately, I still haven’t quite gotten the hang of stamping, so it wasn’t 100%. The polish was easy to stamp with, so it was more my ability to place the stamp on the nail that was the problem. 🙂
This would probably have looked better with more muted, natural colours. I think the contrast between the yellow and the green was a bit too harsh – it reminded me a bit of a hobbit’s table cloth…
Models Own Chrome Indigo
Vad sägs om lacket jag faktiskt har på naglarna för tillfället som omväxling? När jag skulle välja lack senast så insåg jag att jag för en gångs skull faktiskt har ganska jämna naglar och därför var det ett ypperligt tillfälle att bära ett kromlack. De brukar ju vara väldigt bra på att avslöja alla ojämnheter man inte ens visste att man hade. Models Own Chrome Indigo har stått bortglömt på min hylla i några år, men nu fick det komma till användning.
Det täckte på två lager, men var lite svårlackat – som alla kromlack jag har testat. Det visade penseldrag och torkade så fort att det lätt blev ojämnt. Man måste måla snabbt och rätt från början, något jag inte helt lyckades med, men man kan ju städa upp det efteråt!
Jag tycker det är ett riktigt snyggt lack. Det har en väldigt kall, blålila ton som ger olika intryck beroende på ljusförhållandena. Det är väldigt blankt, om än inte spegelblankt.
Jag stämplade över med CND Vinylux Winter Nights (som funkade jättebra att stämpla med) och Born Pretty-plattan BP-109 och fick en väldigt fiskig manikyr som jag gillar riktigt mycket. 🙂
In English: How about a post with the polish I am currently wearing? When I was choosing my polish this time I realized that my nails actually are quite even right now and thus it was a great opportunity to wear a chrome polish. Chromes have a tendency to reveal all the unevenness that you weren’t aware of, so I often skip them because of chipping. Models Own Indigo Chrome had been forgotten on my shelf for several years, but now it came to use.
It was opaque in two coats but was a bit tricky to apply – like all chromes I have tried. It showed brush strokes and dried so quickly that it easily became uneven. You have to be quick and get it right from the start, something I didn’t quite succeed with, but you can always clean it up afterwards!
I think this is a really nice polish. It has a very cold, purplish blue colour that looks slightly different depending on the lighting conditions. It is very shiny, but not mirror-like.
I stamped it with CND Vinylux Winter Nights (that worked really well as a stamping polish) and the Born Pretty plate BP-109 and ended up with a very fishy manicure that I like a lot. 🙂
Stamping mani with the CND Boho Spirit collection
Om man har ohemula mängder otestade nagellack så får man försöka använda så många som möjligt i manikyrerna, och här lyckades jag rätt bra med det. I den här manikyren använde jag samtliga lack från CNDs Boho Spirit-kollektion. Jag bar Gypsy på tumme och lillfinger, Vagabond på pekfinger och ringfinger och Uninhibited på långfingret. Sedan stämplade jag med Offbeat och ÜberChics Mandala Love-platta.
Jag bar tre lager av alla lacken och de hade en ganska bra formula, men var lite svåra att hålla ifrån nagelbanden. Alla lack är pressprover.
In English: If you have unreasonable amounts of untried polishes you have to use as many as possible in the same manicures, and I think I succeeded pretty well with that in this manicure. I used all of the polishes from the CND Boho Spirit collection; Gypsy on thumb and pinkie, Vagabond on pointer and ring finger and Uninhibited on my long finger. Then I stamped with Offbeat and the ÜberChic Mandala Love plate.
I wore three coats of all the polishes and their formula was pretty good, but they did tend to sneak into my cuticles.

Depend O2 536 with stamped roses
Alla Hjärtans Dag börjar närma sig, och med det alla söta och romantiska manikyrer. Det är ju inte riktigt min grej, så jag blev glad när jag såg att @clairestelle8 på Instagram har en alternativ Alla Hjärtans Dagutmaning där man ska kombinera klassiskt romantiska motiv med murriga eller udda färger. Jag har valt att göra rostemat med orange bakgrund. Bakgrunden är det knalligt orangea Depend O2 536 från Dark Beauty-kollektionen, en kollektion som lite har försvunnit i mängden, men som ändå innehåller en del fina lack. 536 täckte på två lager och var bra att applicera. Jag har fått det som pressprov. Rosorna är från första plattan av tre i ÜberChic Beautys femte samling och jag använde ett svart stämplingslack från Depend.
In English: Valentine’s Day is closing in, and with it all the cute and romantic manicures. Cute and romantic isn’t really my thing, so I was happy to see that @clairestelle8 on Instagram hosts a Twisted Valentine Challenge where you combine traditional romatic motifs with dark or unusual colours. I chose to do the rose theme on an orange background. I used the bright orange Depend O2 536 from the Dark Beauty collection, a collection that I have sort of forgotten about, but that contains a lot of nice polishes. 536 was opaque in two coats and the application was good. It was sent to me as a press sample.
The roses are from the first plate in the fifth plate collection from ÜberChic Beauty and I stamped with a black stamping polish from Depend.
CND Jaded
Jaded är ett av lacken jag fick som pressprov från CNDs Wonderballkollektion, och jag tycker verkligen att de har lyckats med det! Det är multikromatiskt och skiftar mellan guld, grönt och kallt blått. Det är ganska likt klassiska Chanel Peridot, men kallare och grönare i tonen. Ibland känner jag att de multikromatiska lacken upprepar sig själva, antagligen för att det inte finns hur många multikromatiska pigment som helst, men det här är faktiskt unikt i min samling.
Formulan hade kunnat vara bättre, däremot. Det var ganska tjockt och ville inte riktigt jämna ut sig. Två lager räckte för att få det täckande, men eftersom det visade ganska mycket penseldrag så fick jag måla väldigt noga. Fast jag kan stå ut med en lite knölig applikation när lacket är så här snyggt! Jag misstänker också att det kanske går att stämpla med det eftersom det är så tjockt och lite kromigt.
Jag stämplade sedan över det med det svarta stämplingslacket från Depend och ett motiv från ÜberChic Beauty Lovely Leaves 2-plattan. Ska jag vara helt ärlig och frångå jantelagen så tycker jag att det blev jättesnyggt! Tyvärr höll inte manikyren längre än tre dagar och det skar lite i hjärtat när jag tog bort den.
In Engligh: Jaded is one of the polishes from the CND Wonderball collection that was sent as press samples to me, and I really think they succeeded with this one! It is multichromatic and shifts between gold, green and a cool blue. It is fairly similar to the classic Chanel Peridot, but greener and cooler. I sometimes feel that the multichromes are repeating themselves, probably because there is a limited number of multichromatic pigments, but this is actually unique in my collection.
The formula could have been better, though. It was quite thick and didn’t really want to even itself out. Two coats was enough to get it opaque, but since it showed quite a lot of brush strokes, I had to be very careful. I can live with that, though, since the polish is so beautiful! I suspect that it might be possible to use this for stamping since it is so thick and almost has a chrome finish.
I stamped using the black stamping polish from Depend and a pattern from the ÜberChic Beauty Lovely Leaves 2 plate. I really loved this mani! Unfortunately, it only lasted for three days and I was sad to remove it.
New Year’s Eve mani with CND Stylish Sapphire
Jag hann visst inte posta min nyårsmanikyr här… Den kom bara ut på Instagram, men bättre sent än aldrig! Basen är CND Stylish Sapphire, ett vackert midnattsblått skimmerlack med väldigt fint djup och lyster. Det ser nästan ut som färgat glas, så fin är lystern! Jag har fått det som ett pressprov och det släpps med vinterns Wonderball-kollektion. Två lager räckte för att det skulle täcka och det var lätt att applicera.
Jag stämplade sedan med tre lack från Depends Across the Universe-kollektion (den gröna, nr 5061, den mörkblå, nr 5060 och den ljust silverblå, nr 5059) och Holiday Snowfall-plattan från What’s Up Nails. Lacken stämplade ganska bra och jag gillade effekten jag fick av att använda de olika färgerna av lack med likadan finish. Tyvärr var jag för snabb med det andra lagret överlack, så det bubblade sig och förstörde alltihopa… Väldigt tråkigt, för annars tycker jag att det blev en fin manikyr.
In English: I hadn’t time to post my New Year’s Eve mani here, only on Instagram, but better late than never! The base is CNS Stylish Sapphire, a beautiful midnight blue shimmer with gorgeous depth and luster. It almost looks like coloured glass. I have gotten it as a press sample and it was released with this winter’s Wonderball collection. Two coats was enough and application was good.
I stamped on it with three polishes from the Depend Across the Universe collection (the green, no 5061, the dark blue, no 5060 and the silvery blue no 5059) and the Holiday Snowfall plate from What’s Up Nails. The polishes stamped quite well and I liked the effect of using the three polishes in different colours but with the same finish. Unfortunarely, I was too quick with the second layer of top coat, which made it bubble and ruined the whole thing. A bit sad. I liked the mani before that.
OPI Coalmates with Christmas tree stamping
Än går det att klämma ut lite julstämning ur det här året, så jag visar min mellandagsmanikyr, som går på jul/vintertema. Basen är OPI Coalmates, som jag har fått som pressprov från vinterkollektionen Love, OPI. Det är ett lack som har fått mycket uppmärksamhet, och det är fint, men jag är faktiskt inte exalterad. Det är mörkblått med en silvrig bas och multifärgat skimmer. Trevligt lack, men inte galet speciellt. Jag bar två lager och det var lätt att applicera.
För att haka på (om än flera dagar sent) julgranstemat på Lacky Corners Winter Nail Art Challenge-utmaning så stämplade jag julgranar med ett vitt stämplingslack från Depend och stämplingsplattan A014 Holiday Snowfall från What’s Up Nails. Både lacket och plattan funkade bra att stämpla med. Jag testade också omvänd stämpling och fyllde i julgranskulorna på långfingrarna med Wrap Up Warm från Depends Just Like Magic-kollektion. Det hade nog varit bättre med ett skimmerlack istället för ett glitterlack, dock, eftersom det blev lite knöligt med glitterkornen. Men tja, juligt blev det, även om jag nu faktiskt börjar känna för att göra lite helt vanliga manikyrer. Det blir en nyårsmanikyr till imorgon först, bara!
In English: There is still time to squeeze some Christmas spirit out of this year, so this is my Christmas/winter themed post-Christmas manicure. The base is OPI Coalmates, a press sample from the Love, OPI winter collection. This polish has gotten quite a lot of attention, and it is nice, but I am not extatic. It is a dark blue with a silvery base and multicoloured shimmer. Pretty, but not crazy special. I wore two coats and it was easy to apply.
In order to join (a few days late, but still) the Christmas tree theme for Lacky Corner’s Winter Nail Art Challenge, I stamped trees with a white stamping polish from Depend and the A014 Holiday Snowfall plate from What’s Up Nails. Both the polish and the plate were easy to work with. I also tried some reverse stamping and filled in the baubles on the big trees with Wrap Up Warm from the Depend Just Like Magic collection. It would probably have been better with a shimmer instead of a glitter, though, since the glitter made the stamping a bit lumpy. But well, it is Christmassy, at least, even if I am starting to long for regular manis by now. I’ll just do a New Year’s Eve mani for tomorrow, but then I’ll go back to normal!
Nageldraken
