Blue Monday: Pahlish Time Vortex
Eftersom jag igår fick höra att den 13:e doktorn kommer att bli en kvinna så valde jag ett Doctor Who-inspirerat lack till nästa manikyr. Nu är jag ingen whovian, direkt – jag har sett en del, men tappade intresset för ett tag sedan – men med en kvinnlig doktor så kanske det är värt att ta upp det igen!
Time Vortex är ett riktigt härligt blått foil från Pahlish. Fantastiskt fint djup! Jag gillar det faktiskt mer än jag trodde att jag skulle göra. Det var lite tjockt, men täckte å andra sidan faktiskt på endast ett lager och gick ändå ganska bra att lacka med. Mycket vackert lack!
Eftersom jag faktiskt har lyckats med att visa ett blått lack på en måndag så passar jag förstås på att vara med på blå måndag också!
In English: Since I learned yesterday that the 13th Doctor will be a woman, I chose a Doctor Who-themed polish for my next manicure. I can’t claim to be a whovian, exactly – I have seen some, but lost interest a while back – but with a female Doctor it might be time to take it up again!
Time Vortex is a wonderful blue foil from Pahlish. Amazing depth! I like it a lot more than I thought I would. It was a bit thick, but on the other hand it only took one coat to get it opaque and it was pretty easy to apply. Very beautiful!
And since I have actually managed to show a blue polish on a Monday, I’ll take the opportunity to join Blue Monday this week!
Nerdlacquer Don’t Blink 2.0
Amanda på Nerdlacquer har börjat spotta ur sig lack på löpande band numera, och ett av mina favoriter av de nya är den här uppdateringen av det klassiska Don’t Blink från Doctor Who-kollektionen. Den ursprungliga versionen är jättefin den också, men den nya är snäppet vassare. Det är ett ljusgrått matt texturlack med silverglitter och matt glitter i vitt och svart som verkligen ser ut som sten. Jag bar två lager och det var lättlackat men torkade ganska långsamt.
In English: Amanda at Nerdlacquer is releasing new polishes at a terrible speed (at least compared to earlier) and one of my favourites among the new ones is the upgraded version of the classic Don’t Blink from the Doctor Who-kollection. The original is also great, but the new one is just awesome. It is a light grey textures polish with silver glitters and matte black and white glitters. It really looks like stone! I wore two coats and it was easy to apply but dried fairly slowly.
Nerdlacquer Don’t Blink
Jag tänkte faktiskt göra något så ovanligt som att visa lacket jag bär på fingrarna just nu. Det blir ännu ett Nerdlacquer (jag har ju en bunt otestade :-)). Don’t Blink är från Doctor Who-kollektionen och hänvisar till the Weeping Angels, som jag nog tycker är de enda läskiga monsten i Doctor Who. (Dalekarna tycker jag mest är lite fåniga.) Det är ett ljusgrått lack med matta glitter i vitt och mörkgrått, och ser faktiskt lite ut som sten. Jag bar två lager och det var utmärkt att lacka med.
Jag dekorerade med snöflingedekaler från Nailtopia, som jag har köpt på Nailshop. Väldigt fina dekaler, mycket tunna och flexibla. Det är knappt att de syns på lite håll, men jag gillade ändå effekten.
This is something as unusual as the polish that I am wearing at the moment. Another Nerdlacquer (well, I do have quite a few new ones :-)). Don’t Blink is from the Doctor Who collection and is alluding to the Weeping Angels, the only Doctor Who-monsters that I think is creepy for real. (I think the Daleks mostly are just silly.) It is light grey with matte glitters in white and charcoal, and it actually looks a bit like stone. I wore two coats and the formula was excellent.
I decorated it with snow flake decals from Nailtopia that I bought fron Nailshop. Lovely decals, very thin and flexibel. They were barely visible when you didn’t look closely, but I still liked the effect.
