Depend O2 561, 563 and 569 from the Like an Artist collection
Det har blivit många manikyrer med lack från Like an Artist-kollektionen på sistone, faktiskt, men jag tar väl och visar dem i tur och ordning efter när jag bar dem. Jag gillar verkligen den kollektionen. Den har så många fina lack som blir snygga med varandra.
I den här manikyren kombinerade jag det gråa 561 och det bränt orangea 563. Jag tycker de funkade riktigt bra ihop. Båda lacken täckte på två lager och var trevliga att applicera. Jag bar dem som de var i ett dygn men ville sedan piffa till dem, så jag tog ett prickverktyg och gjorde prickar med 561, 563 och det mörkbruna 569 från samma kollektion. Det är faktiskt första gången jag gjort en dotticure och det var enklare än jag trodde! Jag trivdes dessutom riktigt bra i den här manikyren.

In English: I have done several manicures with the polished from the Like an Artist collection lately, and I’ll show them in the order I wore them. I really like this collection. It has so many nice colours that works very well together.
For this manicure I combined the grey 561 and the burnt orange 563. I think they went really well together. Both polished were opaque in one coat and applied well. I wore them plain for a day, before I wanted to spice it up a little and made dots with a dotting tool and 561, 563 and the dark brown 569 from the same collection. It was actually the first time I did a dotticure and it was easier than I expected! I really liked wearing this manicure.

Depend O2 571 and 572 from Like an Artist-kollektionen
Första manikyren från Depends Like an Artist-kollektion blev en enkel kombination av 571 (mörkt khakigrön) och 572 (ljusrosa). Båda lacken var lätta att måla med. 571 täckte på två lager och 572 på tre. Jag hade inte så mycket tid att dekorera den, så jag bara klämde dit en svart nit.
Det märkligaste med den här manikyren var att jag faktiskt inte hade något emot det rosa lacket när jag kombinerade det med grönt. Jag tycker faktiskt att de passade riktigt bra ihop.

In English: My first manicure with polishes from the Depend Like an Artist collection was a simple combination of 571 (dark khaki green) and 572 (light pink). Both polishes were easy to apply. 571 was opaque in two coats and 572 in three. I didn’t have much time for nail art, so I just added a black stud.
The strangest thing about this manicure was that I actually didn’t mind the pink polish when I combined it with the green. I really think they went quite well together.

Models Own Chrome Indigo
Vad sägs om lacket jag faktiskt har på naglarna för tillfället som omväxling? När jag skulle välja lack senast så insåg jag att jag för en gångs skull faktiskt har ganska jämna naglar och därför var det ett ypperligt tillfälle att bära ett kromlack. De brukar ju vara väldigt bra på att avslöja alla ojämnheter man inte ens visste att man hade. Models Own Chrome Indigo har stått bortglömt på min hylla i några år, men nu fick det komma till användning.
Det täckte på två lager, men var lite svårlackat – som alla kromlack jag har testat. Det visade penseldrag och torkade så fort att det lätt blev ojämnt. Man måste måla snabbt och rätt från början, något jag inte helt lyckades med, men man kan ju städa upp det efteråt!
Jag tycker det är ett riktigt snyggt lack. Det har en väldigt kall, blålila ton som ger olika intryck beroende på ljusförhållandena. Det är väldigt blankt, om än inte spegelblankt.
Jag stämplade över med CND Vinylux Winter Nights (som funkade jättebra att stämpla med) och Born Pretty-plattan BP-109 och fick en väldigt fiskig manikyr som jag gillar riktigt mycket. 🙂
In English: How about a post with the polish I am currently wearing? When I was choosing my polish this time I realized that my nails actually are quite even right now and thus it was a great opportunity to wear a chrome polish. Chromes have a tendency to reveal all the unevenness that you weren’t aware of, so I often skip them because of chipping. Models Own Indigo Chrome had been forgotten on my shelf for several years, but now it came to use.
It was opaque in two coats but was a bit tricky to apply – like all chromes I have tried. It showed brush strokes and dried so quickly that it easily became uneven. You have to be quick and get it right from the start, something I didn’t quite succeed with, but you can always clean it up afterwards!
I think this is a really nice polish. It has a very cold, purplish blue colour that looks slightly different depending on the lighting conditions. It is very shiny, but not mirror-like.
I stamped it with CND Vinylux Winter Nights (that worked really well as a stamping polish) and the Born Pretty plate BP-109 and ended up with a very fishy manicure that I like a lot. 🙂
Gradient with Depend Botanic Blue and Tropical Garden
De första lacken jag sträckte mig efter i sommarkollektionen Floral Flow var (föga förvånande) det klargröna Tropical Garden och det klarblåa Botanic Blue. Det är så härligt somriga färger! Båda var ganska lättlackade, men aningens tjocka. Botanic Blue täckte på två lager medan Tropical Garden behövde ett tredje. Tyvärr hade mitt överlack tjocknat, vilket gjorde manikyren knölig och lite bubblig.
Jag har fått båda lacken som pressprover.
In English: The first polishes I used from the summer collection Floral Flow was (predictably) the bright green Tropical Garden and the bright blue Botanic Blue. They are such lovely summery colours! Both were quite easy to apply, but slightly thick. Botanic Blue was opaque in two coats while Tropical Garden needed a third. Unfortunately, my top coat had thickened and made the manicure quite uneven and a little bubbly.
Both polishes were sent to me as press samples.
Stamping mani with the CND Boho Spirit collection
Om man har ohemula mängder otestade nagellack så får man försöka använda så många som möjligt i manikyrerna, och här lyckades jag rätt bra med det. I den här manikyren använde jag samtliga lack från CNDs Boho Spirit-kollektion. Jag bar Gypsy på tumme och lillfinger, Vagabond på pekfinger och ringfinger och Uninhibited på långfingret. Sedan stämplade jag med Offbeat och ÜberChics Mandala Love-platta.
Jag bar tre lager av alla lacken och de hade en ganska bra formula, men var lite svåra att hålla ifrån nagelbanden. Alla lack är pressprover.
In English: If you have unreasonable amounts of untried polishes you have to use as many as possible in the same manicures, and I think I succeeded pretty well with that in this manicure. I used all of the polishes from the CND Boho Spirit collection; Gypsy on thumb and pinkie, Vagabond on pointer and ring finger and Uninhibited on my long finger. Then I stamped with Offbeat and the ÜberChic Mandala Love plate.
I wore three coats of all the polishes and their formula was pretty good, but they did tend to sneak into my cuticles.

Depend O2 553
Jag tar och fortsätter med Depends Spotted In Line-kollektion och går rakt på det tredje lacket jag har burit från kollektionen. 553 är ett mörkblått skimmerlack, ett sånt där som är perfekt som bas till en galaxmanikyr. Det är väl inte superunikt direkt, men riktigt fint ändå. Två lager räckte för att få det att täcka. Nu skrev jag inga anteckningar när jag målade med det, men jag har för mig att det var lite tjockare än Depends vanliga utmärkta formulering och därmed en liten aning knöligare att måla med. Ni ser att det blev lite kladdigt (jag hade inte tid att städa upp den här manikyren). Jag har fått det som pressprov.
P g a tidsbrist blev dekoren mycket enkel – bara några dekaler från Kiss som jag köpte när jag var i USA tidigare i våras.
In English: I’ll go on with the Depend Spotted In Line collection and I’ll continue with the third polish I wore from the collection. 553 is a dark blue shimmer, one of those that are really great as a base for a galaxy manicure. Maybe it isn’t the most unique of polishes, but it is still pretty. Two coats were enough to get it opaque. I forgot to take notes when I applied it, but I think it was a little thicker than the usual Depend formula and thus a little tricker to apply. You can see that it was a bit messy. (I had no time for clean-up.) It was sent to me as a press sample.
The nail art was very simple due to lack of time – just some decals from Kiss that I bought in the US when I was there earlier this year.
Nerdlacquer Midnight
Till veckans holofredag har jag grävt lite i arkivet. Jag har inte köpt så många hololack på sistone, så jag hade faktiskt ingen ny holomanikyr att visa. I arkivet låg däremot den här manikyren och skräpade, så det är ju bra att den får komma ut i ljuset till slut!
Midnight från Nerdlacquer är ett midnattsblått holo med blåa glitter. Jag tycker det är riktigt fint, men jag vet inte om de blåa glittren gjorde så stor skillnad. De syntes inte så mycket. Det täckte på två lager, men var lite tjockt och knöligt att applicera och krävde en del överlack för att bli slätt.
Jag testade nytt överlack från Models Own till den här manikyren, men det blev inte någon favorit. Det slätade inte ut lacket nämnvärt och gav inte heller särskilt mycket glans. Trots två lager var lacket så knöligt och matt dagen efter att jag tog med mig en flaska med CNDs överlack till jobbet för att slänga på ett lager till (tur att jag har eget rum!).
Dekoren består av små svarowskistenar som jag köpte från Edgy polish innan de la ner. Stenarna är väldigt fina och jag gillar att de kommer i olika storlekar och är väldigt gnistriga, även med överlack över. Tyvärr har de konisk baksida, vilket gjorde det lite svårt att fästa dem i lacket eftersom jag behövde ha ett tjockt lager lack att trycka ner dem i, och de stack ändå upp en del.
In English: For this week’s Holo Friday, I have made a dive into the archive since I haven’t worn any holo polishes recently. I came up with this – Nerdlacquer Midnight, a midnight blue holo with blue glitters. It is really pretty, but the blue glitters doesn’t do that much and aren’t very visible.
It was opaque in two coats, but it was also a bit thick and lumpy and took a lot of top coat to get smooth.
For this manicure, I tried a new top coat from Models Own, that I really didn’t like. It didn’t do much to smooth out the polish and it wasn’t very shiny. I actually brought a bottle of the CND Vinylux top coat to work the day after since I couldn’t stand the lumpyness. (It’s lucky I have my own room!)
The nail art are some small rhinestones that I bought from Edgy Polish before it shut down. I like how sparkly they are and that they came in many different sizes, but the conical back makes them very difficult to attach to the polish. They stuck out quite a bit, which annoyed me.
OPI Tell Me About It Stud
Jag kunde inte motstå frestelsen att dekorera Tell Me About It Stud, från OPIs Grease-kollektion, med guldnitar (”gold studs”). Det var bara en lite för dålig ordvits för att jag skulle kunna låta bli! Lacket är ganska härligt. Riktigt klart tomatrött och med en fantastisk formula. OPI är verkligen bäst på röda lack…
Jag bar två lager och har fått det som pressprov.
In English: I couldn’t resist the temptation to decorate Tell Me About It Stud, from the OPI Grease collection, with gold studs. The pun was too bad to let pass!
The polish is pretty great. It is a very bright tomato red and has a fantastic formula. Red polishes are really OPIs forte…

Depend Boardwalk Blues
Det andra lacket jag testade från Depends Life of Venice-kollektion var Boardwalk Blues, som namnet till trots är intensivt lila. Det är en riktigt härlig färg som jag trivdes riktigt bra i!
Två lager täckte bra och det var utmärkt att måla med. Dekoren är neonfärgade nitar som jag har haft så länge att jag glömt bort var jag har köpt dem.

In English: The second polish that I wore from the Depend Life of Venice collection was Boardwalk Blues, which, despite the name, is a very bright purple creme. It is a very cheerful colour that I liked wearing!
The application was excellent and it was opaque in two coats. I decorated it with neon studs that I have had for such a long time that I have forgotten where I bought them from.

Nail art with Depend Next to Santa Monica
Det här är faktiskt lite otroligt, men jag har faktiskt hittat ett rosa lack som jag gillar! Nu är det väldigt rödrosa och kanske nästan mer korall än rosa, men ändå! Det är härligt färgstarkt och uppiggande.
Next to Santa Monica är från Depends sommarkollektion Life of Venice, och jag har fått det som pressprov.Två lager täckte bra och det var lätt att måla med.
Ett så färgglatt lack bjöd in till en färgglad manikyr, och eftersom lacken i Life of Venice-kollektionen är så fina tillsammans så tog jag fem av dem och gjorde ränder med genom att måla lack på min silikonmatta, låta det torka och sedan klippa det i så smala remsor jag kunde när det var torrt men fortfarande lite mjukt. Lacken jag använde var limegröna Palm Tree Shake, blåa Blue Paradise, turkosa Gone To the Beach, lila Boardwalk Blues och gula Hello Sunshine. Remsorna fäste jag i ett lager genomskinligt lack. Den här manikyren gillade jag skarpt och den kändes passande nu när det faktiskt äntligen har blivit vår!
In English: This is amazing, but I have finally found a pink polish that I like! Sure, it is a very reddish pink, and maybe more coral than pink, but still! It is so cheerful and bright that it won me over, despite its pink-ness.
Next to Santa Monica is from the Depend summer collection Life of Venice and it was sent to me as a press sample. It was opaque in two coats and easy to apply.
Such a bright polish demanded a bright nail art, and since the polishes from the Life of Venice-collection go so well together, I made stripes of five of them by painting on my silicone mat and cutting the polish into thin strips when it was dry, but still soft. I used the lime green Palm Tree Shake, the blue Blue Paradise, the turquoise Gone To the Beach, the purple Boardwalk Blues and the yellow Hello Sunshine. I fastened the strips in clear polish and finished with top coat. I really liked this manicure and it felt very fitting now that spring is finally here!
